Eaux Profondes by Alix Malka
This image shows a girl with white short hair across her face. Her eyes are hidden but you can see her lips. Her arm are thrown about. Her dress is made of small shiny squares put together. This gives a crystal view. There seems to be a hint of water splashed on her. As you can see the every little drops of water, it makes it seem like her movement is slowed down giving a soft feel to the picture. It looks like she's trying to express her feelings to the viewers. I think Alix wants to capture her emotions onto a picture. She seems like she almost blending in with the background. The image overall is blue which gives an impression that the picture was taken underwater. The colour 'blue' creates a magical and mystical atomosphere, almost like a fantasy. This is a mysterious image which makes the viewers curious about what she's trying to tell. This photograph is high contrast overall as you can clearly see the colour difference of her whie hair and dark background. However, there are some low contrast in some areas. Majority of the lines shown in the picture is straight. Also, the shape triangle is shown by her hair, and her arms. I think top light is used to create this picture and you can see the light on top of her hair and her arms; her dress shines mostly on the top. I really like this picture taken by Alix Malka because it's more like a dream and people can escape from the harsh reality.
